The Killers are an American rock band who have sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Their most recent release, a greatest hits compilation called Direct Hits, was released in November 2013. Formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by lead singer Brandon Flowers, a former valet parking attendant, the Killers combine catchy synth-pop melodies with clever, edgy lyrics. Influenced by Duran Duran, disco, and David Bowie, the Killers are known for their dashing stage appearances and danceable hit songs. Their first single,” Mr. Brightside,” scored them a Top Ten hit in the UK before achieving radio success in the US. Driven by that single’s power, the Killers then released their debut album, Hot Fuss, which went straight to the top of several international charts. Follow-up hits like “Somebody Told Me,” “All These Things I’ve Done,” and “Smile Like You Mean It” all charted high as well. The band was suddenly thrust into the spotlight, with very little touring experience. Thanks to a huge demand for their live shows, they soon polished their concert act to a professional sheen, delighting ticket holders. Their follow up to Hot Fuss, Sam’s Town, included the No.1 “When You Were Young” and was certified platinum. Direct Hits includes new tracks, including the recent hit “Shot At The Night.” The Killers continue to write, perform and record, and fans can expect more new music from them in 2014.

This event was terribly coordinated, had lines of over an hour to get a soda, water or beer, had ONE person working at the Pizza stand with a line of about 300 people. Could not get near the interactive games, there was NO access to any players, coaches, Legends or anyone hockey related. People were there for average music and beer, but Hockey was an afterthought. About 10 % of the people had anything hockey related on. Not good.

    Killers were amazing!!

Super fun! Singing and dancing the whole time! The event was fun seeing all the hockey teams but the Kilkers stole the show.

    Killers were great! Event. meh.

I d like to begin by saying that The Killers were great, but the event in general was poorly organized. 1 hour line ups for beer or food, bad sound mix, and poorly trained staff.

Great speakers and band. Excellent sound, staging and security. A bit of a disaster for an eco-event though. I wish Harvey s would put in recycling bins and a permanent tap water station in this venue. Having no water except $4 bottled water is not conductive to make me attend more shows there.

    great day at Lake Tahoe

Wonderful event, President Obama rocked as did the Killers.
