The property is also available for monthly or seasonal rental, please call for more information. There is a two night minimum, and if you would like to rent the property out during the weekdays, use the “weekdays only” pricing to figure out mid week rates. Midweek is considered Monday night thru Thursday nights, unless it is on a Holiday. Such as the Monday of Presidents Day is considered a Holiday and would be charged the weekend rate. MLK, Presidents Day and Labor Day weekends have a 3 night minimum. The main Renter must be at least 24 years old. A $150 security deposit may be put done with PayPal to hold the property, and will be refunded after visual inspection of the home after the rental period. A cleaning service fee is included in the rental price. We do ask for a simple wipe down cleaning and to put all towels and linens in the washer/dryer before you depart, and the dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on before you leave too. If you do have a dog that you would like to bring, please tell us this so we can discuss it. There is a $50 fee for the dog only because our cleaning service charges us $50 extra in order to give a special shampoo cleaning.
During the winter, a four wheel drive vehicle is needed to get to this property because it is up on a ridge. It is not a far drive from the main road, but there is just one steep area that if there is snow will be not possible without the four wheel drive that have good tires and not worn down. The yearly average snowfall at this property, which is 1 mile from the ski resort, is over 100″. We received 300″ in 2010! And 160″ in 2013 which compared to only around 6″ in the DC area in 2013, so huge difference here. The weather here is very different than the metro areas, so please take this into account and try not to show up at night in the winter. Those without a 4 wheel or all wheel drive to get up the hill are able to park in the parking lot at the Foodland and sometimes at the Garrett College across the street from the road that leads up to this house.
